How much will it cost?This will entirely depend on the size of your new pool, what special features you want - if any - and how complex the construction will be. As a general rule, building a pool on the side of a mountain will be double the cost of a pool on a level site. Whilst the lowest price you could pay for a small in-ground spa could be €5000, pools start at around €15,000 and can be over €40,000 for a very large pool with lots of special features. Contact us for a personal visit from an expert, so that you can discover how much your dream pool will cost. You will receive a firm quotation from us, with 'small print' that is quite large, and very understandable. Back to TopHow long will it take to build?Whilst we would dearly love to build your pool in three weeks, practical considerations mean that the construction will probably take between two and six months. This is because of new laws requiring every pool to have an Architect's project, which then has to be presented to the Architects' Association in Almeria for approval. After that, Council permission needs to be applied for. Realistically, the fastest we can start on your pool will be two months after your order is placed. Once we have started, build time will be governed by the complexity of your pool and where it is being built. We will give you an indication of the build time in the planning phase of the project, although the time of year does make a difference. Wanting your pool built in Spring, ready for the coming Summer, is probably when many others will also want their pools built, so you need to be careful not to leave it too late. Make sure you read the small print, and if it's in Spanish only, make sure you have it professionally translated. Always bear in mind that 'good work is never cheap, and cheap work is rarely good'. Back to TopWhat Guarantee do I get?Indalo Pools gives you a 10 year guarantee on all pools and spas. This covers all the structural components of the construction. Third party products supplied by us generally have the guarantee that the individual manufacturer gives, although the new European Union two year guarantee will soon become law. In truth, the more years you enjoy your pool without problems, the better our reputation becomes. We, as a company, live or die by our reputation. Your guarantee is also transferable to a new owner, a useful selling point if you decide to sell your house. Back to TopHow much does it cost to maintain?This will depend whether you want to do the maintenance yourself or contract one of the many firms in the area to keep the pool in top condition. If the house is a holiday home only, you won't have much choice, as you will want the pool perfect for when you arrive. The last thing you want to do when going on holiday is to spend two or three days cleaning and re-balancing the pool water ready for swimming. In this case, the cost will be about €2000 a year, which will give you two visits a week by a pool technician. If you live most of the year and decide to do all the maintenance yourself, the only cost will be your time and the cost of chemicals, which should be around €500 a year. If you have a heater for the spa, or even for the pool itself, the cost of fuel for that will be dependant on how much you use it.
