When the first layer of steel is complete, the 'rough
plumbing' is started. Flexible pressure pipe is placed to the skimmers, drains
and returns, and is fixed to prevent damage during the concreting phase. The
skimmers are also sited and fixed at this point, carefully making sure they are
absolutely level with each other and at the correct height for the finished
water level. The second layer of steel is then placed, sandwiching the pipes
between the two layers of steel. At this time the pump house base is also given
a layer of steel mesh. Once all the structural steel is completed, a multi-strand thick copper cable is laced through the steel around the pool and back into the pump house. This provides an earth ground that any metal objects in the pool can be connected to. Indalo Pools will always connect this earth from the pump house to the main house fusebox earth, so each compliments and improves the other. At this time we also fix the light housings to the steel, and lay conduit into the pool for the lights and any other electrical fittings. The final job is to pressure test the pipework, to make sure all the joints are watertight and that there has been no damage to any piperun during the steelwork phase. |
