This where your hole in the ground starts to look like a pool. Shotcrete is the process of spraying, at high pressure, specially formulated concrete onto the steelwork. This produces the strongest type of pool in the world. The reasons for this are twofold. Firstly, in the same way as gunite, there is no join between the walls and the base of the pool. This was a common area of leaks, with the traditional method of pouring the base, putting up formwork and pouring the walls. Sprayed concrete enables pools to be completed in 'one hit', so that the walls and base are formed together. In fact, the 'shoe' between the wall and base is often curved to provide a greater area of concrete and therefore strength. Even if the pool cannot be completed in one day's spraying, the strength will never suffer, as the operators can put special joins wherever they please. More information on this advanced process is available in our brochure.
All of Indalo Pools' Shotcrete application is carried out using our own plant and equipment. All nozzlemen and plant operators are fully trained and have many years experience of spraying concrete for swimming pools.
