This section is called covering because this is where the concrete gets covered up. There are two different methods, Pebblecrete and 25mm Glass Mosaic Tiles.

The first job after concreting is to place the waterline tile around the pool. Special care must be taken to ensure it is at the same level, as the water level will show up any mistakes. After this, the coping or coronation is placed around the top of the pool.  As well as Pebblecrete, this can be made out of decorative stone, special preformed coronation slabs, bricks or it can be moulded using an anti slip stone finish available in different colours. It is done before the rest of the inside of the pool so that no mess ruins the tiling or pebble finish.

If the pool is to be tiled, the next stage is to fix the picture in the shallow end base, before the rest of the inside of the pool can be finished. Once the whole pool is tiled, grouting can take place. After a few days to allow the adhesive and grout to fully cure, the pool can be filled. Once the whole pool is tiled, grouting can take place. If the pool is having a Pebblecrete finish, it is applied after the pool coronation. Special cement is mixed with the pebble and other additives, which is then trowelled onto the interior of the pool at a thickness of 12mm. It is trowelled off several times, and, at the correct time, the surface layer of cement is jetwashed off, to expose the pebbles and leave a smooth yet non slip finish. The day after, the finish is given an acid wash to remove the last of the cement slurry, and then the pool is filled immediately.
